Western Australia is proving they can certainly compete with wineries from all over the world. Of the 2,000 maximum wines entered into the Sydney International Wine Competition for 2016, 19 WA wines made it into the top 15% accounted for awards.

Margaret River unsurprisingly featured a majority of these winners, however Great Southern winery Plantagenet Wines managed to sneak their 2014 Riesling into the top Aromatic Wines list.
