Peos Estate in Manjimup were very pleased to find their Chardonnay made it to the Malla Hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal, along with three other WA wines from Byron & Harold, Plantagenet and Willoughby Park in the Great Southern region.
The Himalayan Times Travel & Lifestyle listed the best pairing for each wine as the Fresh Food Traders launched the local wines in a Malla Hotel programme.
The Peos Estate drop was said to be best paired with light, delicate food, such as crab and prawns.
Byron & Harold’s Shiraz and Willoughby Park’s Cabernet Sauvignon are both said to taste best with red meat, and Plantagenet’s Cabernet Merlot is best enjoyed with a steak, or fish, in a red wine sauce.
